Lab of Animal Reproduction & Transgenesis

The Laboratory of Animal Reproduction at Seoul National University focuses on understanding the fundamental principles of mammalian reproduction and embryonic development, with a particular emphasis on the pig as a model species. We established porcine embryonic/embryo-derived stem cell lines, and bovine embryonic stem cell line, providing a valuable platform to explore pluripotency, lineage specification, and developmental potential in large-animal systems.

We integrate traditional reproductive biotechnology with advanced molecular and stem cell techniques to study In vitro embryo production, gene editing, and lineage reprogramming. Beyond scientific discovery, we also serves high-quality embryology and reproductive technology, cultivating experts who will advance animal biotechnology and agricultural reproduction.

Through these efforts, we aim to deepen our understanding of mammalian reproduction and contribute to sustainable and innovative advances in agriculture and animal science.
